How to vote
How to vote on Crown Votes
Your free vote takes a minute. Buying more votes takes two. The examples use a sample pageant, Miss Kampala 2026; every real pageant works the same way.
- UGX 500 per vote
Six steps, about two minutes
Step 1: Find your contestant
Open Miss Kampala 2026 at crownvotes.com/miss-kampala-2026, or scan the QR code the organizer shared. Pick your contestant by name or sash number; each has a page with its own Vote button.
Step 2: Sign in when you tap Vote
Use Google, Apple or your email address; with email we send a 6-digit code to type in. Your account keeps the free vote fair and is where your vote number is sent.
Step 3: Vote free, once a day
Tap Vote free: everyone gets one free vote a day in this pageant, and it counts straight away. Come back tomorrow for the next one.
Step 4: Buy more votes at UGX 500 each
Tap Buy votes, choose how many, and check the total before you pay. Enter the MTN MoMo or Airtel Money number you are paying from.
Step 5: Enter your PIN on your phone
A prompt from MTN MoMo or Airtel Money pops up on that phone. Enter your mobile money PIN to approve it, and keep the page open while it confirms.
Step 6: Get your vote number
Every vote that counts gets your vote number, like #1,204, on screen and by email. Now and then a paid vote is held for a quick check first, and then either counts or is refunded.
Good to know
Can I send money to the organizer instead?
No. Only votes bought on the pageant page count, because that is what links your payment to your contestant. Money sent to a personal number cannot be turned into votes.
The page says "processing". What do I do?
Wait. Your network is still confirming the payment. Do not pay again while it is processing: that is how people get charged twice.
It says "timed out". Did I pay?
Usually not. Check your mobile money messages first. If no money left your account, try again. If money did leave and no vote number came, write to support@crownvotes.com with the transaction reference and the number you paid from.
My votes say "held". What does that mean?
A held vote is being checked before it counts, which happens now and then with paid votes. After the check it either counts as normal, or the payment is refunded. See the refund policy.
